Nokia, Mobile Phones Product Making Program for Graduates
Nokia, Mobile Phones connects people by providing expanding mobile voice and data capabilities across a wide range of mobile devices. We seek to put consumers first in our product-creation process and primarily target high-volume category sales of mobile phones and devices.
In voicecentric and mainstream mobile phones, we believe that design, brand, ease of use and price are our customers' most important considerations. Increasingly, our product portfolio includes new features and functionality designed to appeal to the mass market, such as megapixel cameras, music players and advanced-quality color screens.
We are seeking the future product makers to join in our new international graduate program
The program starts in our headquarter in Europe, Finland, Espoo. During the 12-18 months journey you will have a change to participate in several work assignments in different parts of our organization and on several sites globally. Between the work assignments there will be get together events with your fellow graduate colleagues to hear more about Nokia, business trends and to meet our senior management.
You will have monthly salary, we take care about the travel arrangements and housing. At the end of the program we are seeking the regular position for you in our organization based on the business needs, program outcomes and your own interests.
Program Description:
You will have the training and on the job learning for innovative product creation. Part of the learning will be job rotation for special assignments and projects in Retail, Marketing, Selling, R&D and Technology and Market Support. You will be working closely with some of our product managers – and you will also have a tutor to coach you in the Nokia.
You will work in real business cases and represents the voice of the market in one or more product development projects. The outcome is that Nokia develops competitive product offers that meets/exceeds market expectations.
In the work assignments you will get to understand consumers, customers and market environment as well as product’s role in the portfolio. You will have a change to systematically utilize your understanding to define desirable product offers with crisp and clear positioning on the market.
This is an unique opportunity for you to get familiar with the market leader’s product creation practices and to give your input for the future products. The position is fixed term for 12-18 months and after that we will consider to make an offer for a regular position.
Requirements:
• Degree in BSc, MSc or MBA in a well known international university.
• International and global mind set and willingness to learn more about one of the most interesting businesses.
• Marketing & Business Understanding (consumers, competitors, retail, overall business understanding).
• Product Management (Marketing, segmentation, positioning, portfolio management, channel management, product development, product concepting, product life-cycle models).
• Project management skills.
• Financial understanding (finance data analysis & interpretation).
• Negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent in written and spoken English.
• Mobility to travel.
